Bertha Mónica Treviño Lozano, a Mexican author, independent graphic designer, and text editor, has published several books including Alambrada (1993), El bautismo de los pájaros (2001), Génesis (2001), Perfume de mareas (2011), and Otoño en París (2018). Her literary work has been featured or published collectively in nearly twenty books from 1991 to the present. Some of her titles have crossed borders and oceans, reaching libraries and bookstores in Dallas and New York, USA; Huesca, Spain; and Paris, France.

She is also an angel-assisted therapist, Reiki master, and creator of the holistic protocol Al ángelus. Her spiritual path was rediscovered after her city was taken over by armed groups in a power struggle. Disturbed by violence, she suffered from tachycardia and bruxism, taking anxiolytics and sleeping pills, yet depression still tightened its grip. These circumstances were the final drop in her emotionally strained cup from past issues. “There had to be another way to live,” she would silently sigh, longing to regain peace. As she poured into her inner night, help began to arrive: angels, Reiki, A Course in Miracles, forgiveness, and understanding. Living with the trust that only the possible happens and that everything is there to be observed, forgiven, and loved is the elixir of happiness—the discovery of a kind, joyful, and fulfilling life, if desired.
